Memorable weekend

I should be sleeping right now since my granddaughter is staying with me and she will no doubt be up bright and early. It already is bright and early but I haven't been to bed yet. I have had such a great time with her this weekend. It's going to be a quiet and sad place tomorrow after she's gone. She has kept me on my toes for sure. And she has had me laughing constantly.

I'm doing a different Weight Watchers plan this week. Instead of counting points I'm doing the Simply Filling plan. I started out all gung ho and had some amazing results when I looked at the scale. But then the weekend came and I've had alot of things I shouldn't have had so I'm sure the scale doesn't look so pretty any more. I haven't checked it. I tend to avoid the scale when I feel it's not going to show me something I'll like. Not making excuses, but it's hard to cook when my granddaughter is here because I don't get to see her as often as I like so I don't want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I still had a lot of Simply Filling foods, but those extras are probably going to kill me on the scale on Monday. It's all about living and learning, though.

I started reading Eat Pray Love. I want to see the movie but I wanted to read the book first. I've only just started it but the author did a great job capturing my attention right away.

Check out the pretty cup and saucer my son got me in Grand Cayman when he went on a cruise. He also got me that cup and saucer next to it at the beginning of the year, too. He couldn't come in for my birthday so he sent me flowers in that cup/saucer. I am a big lover of tea cups.

My granddaughter is wrapped in the beautiful throw that he got me from Mexico. I sat for a good 30 minutes watching her sleep. She is such an angel.

We may have found a new apartment. We can't see it until the 2nd of next month and it won't be available until the 10th. But that gives us plenty of time to pack and organize the move, shop for new furniture, and get my stuff back here. It will be nice to finally have everything I own in one place again.

I'm getting my book and some water and will hopefully be asleep before I finish the first paragraph.
