What a week

It has been a wild week, and I will certainly be glad when it's finally over. We had a huge wake up call where our relationship is concerned, and although our "troubles" aren't quite over yet, I believe we have come a long way in just a few days. Rather than going over the nightmare here, I'll just say that I've learned a good, hard lesson.

Besides that, work has been a nightmare. We're backed up, too many people are off, and our system stinks. I have worked overtime every day this week and I have to work today, even thought it's my day off. I'm bummed. My son is being baptized today, too, which I'm missing, and it's breaks my heart not to be there for this most important day of his life so far. His brother and sister will be with him, though, and I know that means a lot to him.

Speaking of church, we have found a church to go to but we probably won't go until Wednesday. We both are worn out and really need a day to just chill. I don't even know where my dresses are yet, so hopefully we'll get there Wednesday evening. It'll be nice getting back to church again...just another aspect in my life to make this place my home.

School is coming along great and my classes are very easy this semester. I think since I've been used to going to the regular university and the heavy workload of it, it makes the Community College that I'm going to now seem very easy. The work that is given for a full week takes me about an hour to complete, and I do it all just before it's due. I miss the challenge of the university classes, but I do like what I'm doing, too. And I'll eventually finish my English degree anyhow, so it gives me something to look forward to.

Once this wild work week is over, and the stress from everything else is behind us, life will be very good. In fact, we're talking about going to Galveston to the beach. We were going to go this weekend because we both really need a break. But I have to work some, and then I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday, so we're going to maybe go next weekend instead. We found a hotel right on the beach with a nice ocean view, so that should be nice. I don't care if we don't do anything at all the entire time we're there. We just need a break.

Ok, I'm going to bed now to read some before I go to sleep.
