Wedding Day Countdown

I am getting so excited...Less than two weeks now till our wedding day. We're doing an elopement package at a beautiful bed and breakfast, so basically they do all the work. That keeps me from becoming a Bridezilla and we get to do the fun stuff without having the headaches of planning a big wedding. The venue is a beautiful area that will have fairly cool Autumn temperatures with gorgeous Fall colors splattered on a mountain view. We will have a fireplace in our room, too, which will be so awesome. It's been a good 10 years since I've been able to use a fireplace, and I think it will be very romantic.

Most everything is done now. The only thing he needs to do is to get some socks, have his suit altered, get a hair cut, and find his social security card (or sit 3 hours in the SS office and hope it comes back in time). I still need to find some shoes, figure out how I'm going to wear my hair, and maybe get some kind of hair accessory.

I absolutely love my dress and jewelry. I've had my dress for months now. We got my necklace a few weeks ago, and then last week he bought me some beautiful journey earrings as a wedding present and I'm going to wear those. I really need to find some shoes.

I went to the mall today to get a makeover and to buy all new makeup for the wedding. I went to Macy's first, and a woman from the Clinique counter grabbed me. I told her what I wanted, and she just half-assed did it. I told her it was for my wedding and that I'd need everything, that I would have to do it myself since I won't have a makeup artist, and all she did was tried two different shades of foundation (one on each cheek), and put blush on one cheek. That's it. No eye shadow, nothing. I thanked her and told her I'd be back after I ran some errands in the mall. I didn't lie. Macy's entrance is where I entered the mall so it was where I planned to exit the mall. But I left there with no intensions of buying anything from her and went to the bathroom to wash off the mediocre crap she did with the makeup that only looked like everyday stuff, nothing special.I didn't want to go through the mall with only have my face done anyhow. I ended up going to Dillard's and got this amazing woman who gave me a beautiful makeover. She used EVERYthing that I'd need, including moisturizer. The foundation makes my face look so smooth, and I absolutely love the way she did my eyes. It's a pretty dramatic look, and I hope I can do it myself. I'll have to practice until I can do it with no problem. I took a picture of my eyes so I'd have something to go by. Hopefully it turned out. We'll see. I'm scared to look at the receipt to see what I spent on all of it because I bought everything she used except for some $45 serum, the conceiler, and the eyeliner. I may go back and get the eyeliner because she said it's longwearing. But she forgot to include those when she rung me up and I told her not to worry about them. I bought a foundation brush, too, which I've never used before. I usually just use those makeup wedges, but both she and the Clique woman said it makes a big difference to use a foundation brush. We'll see if I can duplicate this. I don't want to wash this off. It makes me feel so pretty! :)

We went to the Cheesecake Factory after the mall. It was the first time either of us had been there, and it was so good! I had pecan crusted catfish with mashed potatoes and green beans. He had this corn kind of thing. We both brought a good half of our meal home, so we won't have to cook later.

I think I'll go play with my makeup and try to figure out what to do with my hair.

Netflix movie of the week is Last House on the Left. We'll probably watch that tomorrow or Sunday.
