Don't touch my junk

Here I sit, on my day off, waiting to be able to work. I had a trying evening with my work system making its way at a complete snail's pace last night to the point that I couldn't justify getting paid to watch the hour glass wiggling on my screen. I logged off with about four more hours to work. Now I wish I hadn't let my conscience get the best of me because I couldn't back on. I've tried since 4:00. It's 7:30 a.m. now. I finally called in when I knew somebody would be in the office and somebody else is having problems, too. Now I get to decide if I'm going to spend four hours of my day off working on the lousy slow system or if I'm going to use four of my precious vacation hours. Neither choice is satisfactory to me. I probably won't work and will just use my vacation hours, but I'm getting really tired of using my hours to make up time when I should be given a workable system. One of the IT guys called me and I would tell you what he said, but I haven't a clue. And when he gets out of bed I don't think he will even remember that we had a conversation. He clearly didn't like being wakened from a sound sleep early on a Sunday morning. Welcome to my world, big guy. And man up before crossing over. Just a suggestion.

I am at least enjoying some aromatics this morning. I had my first pot of Starbucks Christmas blend and a hint of that is still filling the room. I finally unleashed the cinnamon broom that I bought at Kroger last week that has been resting on my dining room table until I could figure out what to do with it. It need to be hung up somewhere but it's a little plain. It probably needs a few Autumn flowers and ribbon to pretty it up but the question of where to put it remains unresolved. I would like to put in on the little side window next to the door where creepy guy next door peeps in, but which way does it go? Does the stick part go to the top? Or would that be considered upside down?

I'm off to bed. But I leave with this question:

If you had to choose, would you have the body scan? the pat down? Or would you tell them you'll sue if they touch your junk? :) It's a very controversial issue right now so I shouldn't make light of it, but that guy really cracked me up. I don't like any of the options, personally. I've always been very vocal in my defense of TSA rules and regulations with keeping us safe in the sky. But are we going too far? I don't like the idea of having the body scan, but I defended it anyhow if it means being safe. But there are a lot of stories in the news that makes me a little apprehensive. When I worked for United Airlines a passenger called me to complain about having been asked to take off is belt and the agent putting his hand down the elderly passenger's paints. He was truly traumatized. He had flown into JFK and demanded his return trip be at LaGuardia. He was not going near JFK again. I wonder what he thinks of all this? Maybe the don't touch my junk guy is related.
