Just an update

Here we are at the end beginning of a new week. I still have two hours to make up at work but that's better than working my whole day off like I've been having to do.

My arm and knee are no better. If it's tendonitis then it should be better by now. I've used all my Naproxen and now I'm just buying Ibuprofen and taking 4 at a time (800 mg) a couple times a day. That's a lot of Ibuprofen but as soon as I don't take any the pain is back. I've always had a high tolerance for pain, but this is kicking my butt. I have a doctor's appointment this week so hopefully she will send me for some tests to find out what's really going on.

I FINALLY got my son to get checked out. He has had dark blood in his stool for a few weeks and I've been so worried. He has a bleeding ulcer. He is on medication now, and his stomach pain is gone. Praise God!

I'm completely unpacked now and everything has its own place. I'm not sure if I've mentioned the creepy guy next door...I was drying my hair the first day after we moved in and he peeked in our window...you know, that skinny side window next to the door. I thought I saw him a few other times, too, but I thought I was just being paranoid. Then my son's girlfriend was here one night watching movies with my son, and she saw him crouching down under our window peeking in. Who does that????!!!! I put some aluminum foil over the window until I can find something small enough to go there. Every time I pull in my driveway he comes running out his door. I seriously mean running. It's like he's trying to get outside before we get inside, and then when I go inside he goes back into his house, too. What does somebody like that want?! Maybe he's lonely or need attention, but he comes off really creepy.

My granddaughter is transitioning into the "big girl" room at "school" (daycare). She's happy because her two little BFFs are already in that room. She turns 3 at the end of the year. It's so hard to believe she's already nearly 3. She looks just like her mommy at that age. It's funny how my family has such dominant genes that our kids look just like us, and our grandchildren look just like our children. Both my great-nephews look just like their mommies.

I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with something different to give my family for Christmas this year. I'm the only crafty one of us so I'm thinking I'll make some homemade greeting cards for my sister. She loves country/homemade type things so I think this is perfect. I could do a few birthday cards, a couple holiday cards for each holiday for whole year, and then include a book of stamps. Mom might like something like that, too.

I tried to read The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo but I just couldn't get into it. I started Nicholas Sparks' newest book and I'm loving it so far.

I'm off to have some Strawberry Shortcake and then to get my two hours of work done.

Until next time...
